Street lights remote monitoring system based on GPRS network


1.Background  

Xiamen Four faith communications Technology Co., Ltd. developed special night lighting control management system.Via advanced GPRS network,set the computer, communications, electronics, automatic control and other advanced technology successful implementation of night street lighting systems and real-time monitoring to ensure efficient, stable, and all-weather operation.

2.System analysis

2.1.1 Streetlight Control Terminals
   Streetlight Control Terminals are consist of Industrial computer, electric power measurement SCM, multi-channel control board, monitoring board; including power carrier module (EPCW) and input/output interface board. Streetlight Control Terminals can control every light on/off, electric power load conditions, the lamp pole damage, leakage alarm alarm functions.

2.1.2 Wireless transmission equipment
        F2103 connected to PLC built-in Streetlight control terminals via R232/RS485,then connected to data server via GPRS network. F2103 can exchange info with the data server. Four-Faith F2103 GPRS IP Modem designed with TCP/IP stack, supports transparent data transmission and RS232/485, etc.(For more info, please log onto www.four-faith.com)

2.1.3 Data Server
       All data come from weather data loggers of remote sites will be processed and stored, analyzed,  etc., then displayed via B/S or C/S.
       1.Remote control: remote control the Streetlight on/off, and send the status data to server.
       2.Telemetering: Automatic testing or random testing various terminal measuring light rate, voltage, current, power factor, active and frequency, then send the working parameters to server.
       3.Telesignalisation: To get the info of every terminal open/close status, fault and alarm information, etc.

2.1.4 Connection
   F2103 connected to PLC via RS232/RS485.
