Greenhouse environment remote monitoring application


1Background
GPRS intelligent monitoring system realized the greenhouse live data transmiss to the manager and the manager can let the command issued to conduct a field device, at the same time the higher authorities can know the status of the regional greenhouse through the Internet or mobile phone real-time information at any time.
2. System analysis
  2.1 Data collector
  Data collectors are collecting temperature, humidity, light ,soil temperature ,soil moisture ,CO2 concentration, temperature and humidity, dew point/environmental parameters of the greenhouses 24 hours. Then data collectors send the data to server via wireless transmission device.

2.2 Wireless transmission device

2.3 Data center
  The main role of data center is, gas station business management(collecting and managing the business data from all gas station), security management(remote monitoring the gas station), data management(database backup and recovery, etc.)

3. Brief Introduction
  The data collectors in the greeenhouse are connected with Four-Faith GPRS IP Modem F2103 via RS232 or RS485, and public IP, APN and ADSL can be used for accessing internet for data center.
When F2103 is connected with server of data center based on GPRS, a TCP/IP connectivity tunnel will be established for transparent data transmission. So once F2103 get the data from data acquisition terminals, data will be transferred to server of data center, also, the data acquisition terminals can communicate with the server via F2103.

4.1 Greenhouse located in remote areas need via GPRS network.Four-faith F2103 GPRS modem with high-gain antenna ensure the normal operation of the network.
